On Thursday, February 12, 2015, at 12:00 Noon at the statue of Abraham Lincoln at the entrance of Lincoln Park, Kennedy Boulevard and Belmont Avenue in Jersey City, Association Vice President Mr. Edward C. J. Meehan will host the monument ceremony. There is a map in the Events link in the left sidebar.

Dr. Jules Ladenheim, a Past President of the Lincoln Association, will recite a selected letter or speech of President Lincoln. The ceremony will conclude with a placing of a wreath at the monument and light refreshments will be served. This ceremony is a free public service.

Later that evening at 6:00 PM, the Association will host the One Hundred Fiftieth Annual Commemoration and Dinner. It will be held at the Casino in the Park, Lincoln Park, Jersey City. Our guest speaker is Mr. Todd Brewster author of the recently published Lincoln’s Gamble, The Tumultuous Six Months that Gave America the Emancipation Proclamation and Changed the Course of the Civil War.

The  evening also will have another of Lincoln’s orations delivered by Past President Dr. Jules Ladenheim..

Attendance at our annual dinner on February 12 is sufficient to confer membership in the Association. The Association, however, is eager for the participation of Lincoln enthusiasts in planning and conducting administrative, educational, and other outreach programs. If you have such an interest and wish to participate more fully, please email your suggested contribution to the Association.
