The year 2010 marked the 350th anniversary of the first permanent settlement in what is now Jersey City.

To celebrate this, Saturday October 9, 2010, was designated as “Come Home To History” day. There were speakers and displays of Hudson County’s history, and especially that of the original Township of Bergen, at the Hudson County Community College Culinary Institute Conference Center, 161 Newkirk Street, Jersey City, New Jersey.
