On Friday, February 12, 2021, at 1:00 PM at the statue of Abraham Lincoln at the entrance of Lincoln Park, Kennedy Boulevard and Belmont Avenue in Jersey City, Vice President Ms. Ruth Mitchell will host the monument ceremony.
The ceremony will conclude with a placing of a wreath at the monument and light refreshments will be served. This ceremony is a free public service.
Unfortunatly the Virus and Restrictions on Indoor Dining have prevented having the usual dinner that evening. The Officers and Trustees of the Association have met to discuss how and when to continue the tradition of honoring our 16th President with a Dinner. They have decided to postpone the Dinner to a time later in the year when restrictions, hopefully, have been lifted.
It is also our sad task to inform everyone of the passing of Dr. Jules Ladenheim, a Past President and considered by all to be the “Treasure” of the Association for his inspirational delivery of one of Lincoln’s finest speeches or letters at all our functions.
CLICK ON PAYPAL IMAGE to buy tickets with a major credit or debit card. Attendance at our annual dinner on February 12 is sufficient to confer membership in the Association. The Association, however, is eager for the participation of Lincoln enthusiasts in planning and conducting administrative, educational, and other outreach programs. If you have such an interest and wish to participate more fully, please email your suggestions to the Association at firstname.lastname@example.org.
